On May 14, ITC has announced it will extend loan facilities to its employees and supply-chain partners to help them treat those family members who are otherwise not covered under the Company’s medical policies.

Not only will ITC bear the medical expenses of employees and immediate family members, but it will provide a loan to the employees to take care of the medical expenses of family members who do not benefit from any medical scheme or policy of the Company.

The Company has also set up systems and dedicated groups to lend support to the employees during this health crisis and any related emergency. This will include medical care for the employees and their family members via the dedicated COVID-care centres, and help through the various helplines managed by the HR personnel of the Company, that arrange for employees’ testing, oxygen concentrators, hospitalisation process, and so on.

In addition to such valuable support, the Company is also providing paid leaves to the infected employees or those who have come in immediate contact with an infected person.

Realising that the pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of the people, ITC has also instituted employee well-being programmes, including counselling services, medical advice, and proper guidance from the empanelled medical officers, nutritionists and doctors.
