Samsung Digital Academy has been launched to impart skills in new technologies to students of engineering colleges in Telangana

In a bid to nurture technical experts and create a pool of ready talent, Samsung has launched a digital academy as part of its ongoing skilling partnership with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), under the state government. Samsung Digital Academy has been launched to impart skills in new technologies to students of engineering colleges in Telangana.
 
The academy offers a course curriculum meticulously conceptualised such that it can be easily comprehended by a beginner in application development. Under the programme, the youth will be trained in the Tizen OS platform including application development process, testing and debugging, device application program interface (APIs) as well as packaging and installation of designed applications on various devices.

Talking about the programme during the launch of the academy, Jayesh Ranjan, principal secretary, information technology, electronic and industries, Telangana stressed the need for youth to be skilled in new technologies. He mentioned that it will help them in seeking more avenues in the current dynamic IT world. Furthermore, he said a course on Tizen operating system is one such opportunity.

The launch also witnessed a faculty orientation programme that involved faculty from various engineering colleges in Telangana. Technical experts from Samsung conducted the programme at the newly inaugurated lab.
 
The CEO of TASK, Sujiv Nair said the youth who complete this course will be part of an exciting new era in smart devices that will shape the future and improve their employability.

Samsung’s Bengaluru-based R&D institute’s Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Aloknath De agreed that the course on Tizen would enable future and potential developers to use their app programming skills to develop quality apps and be a part of the Tizen app eco system.
