Shergill quit HCL in March and is now an independent consultant to breakthrough startups in the HR technology space.

Prithvi Shergill, former chief human resources officer, HCL Technologies, will now don a completely new role. He will work towards establishing ventures that can help boost business outcomes through technology and expertise.

Shergill quit HCL in March and is now an independent consultant to breakthrough startups in the HR technology space.

“As industry evolves, I am shifting my focus to build independent ventures that align processes, products and platforms to impact business outcomes for enterprises and HCM service companies,” he tells HRKatha.

“Another area of keen interest is using new technologies to transform the experience people have in the workspaces they use and multiply productivity for the user and hosting organisations,” he adds.

Shergill shares that one of the companies he’s currently engaged in helping set up is, 'Tomorrow'—an enterprise with the mandate to co-create the future models of work, which assure growth in passion, proficiency and performance by increasing maturity and impact in the use of analytics and augmented intelligence technology.

Speaking about his stint at HCL, he says, “It has been an honour working with Shiv (Nadar) and the leadership team supporting the amazing talent we have at HCL, possibly in the most satisfying role in my career. Shaping and delivering the people agenda with 3 CEOs —Vineet, Anant and CVK— has been a great learning experience.”

Prior to joining HCL in 2012, Shergill had worked with Accenture for over eight years. He has also worked with Consistel, Singtel, Vsource and AT&T in the past. Shergill is a business graduate from the University of Mumbai.
