The Integrated Design and Manufacturing Training Programme with Robotics and Automation, was inaugurated in Atkur, Vijayawada.

Skilling of youths in the country is one important issue on which the Government has become more focussed nowadays. The number of unemployed people in the country is soaring, with people lacking the required skills for the available jobs. With changing times, the skills needed to perform jobs better have also changed. People need to update themselves with the latest skills to find employment.

Advancement in technology has changed the way businesses work now. The application of robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, blockchain, and so on in businesses has killed many jobs. That is why, it is important that employees re-skill themselves and be updated with these technologies.

The Government has initiated many youth training programmes to make them employable. Some of the Government agencies have collaborated with private partners to skill and train the youths and make them employable.

Working on similar lines, the ITM Group of Institutions has launched an Integrated Design and Manufacturing Training Programme with Robotics and Automation, in Atkur district of Vijayawada. The programme was launched at an event which had Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in attendance.

The objective of the programme is to provide better opportunities to the youth by giving a push to start-ups and the Make in India campaign.

Under this programme, the youth will be trained on integrated design, CNC manufacturing, robotics and actual machining of the object.

The programme is going to help companies innovate through an integrated design system and stronger manufacturing strategy.

Students will also be imparted job-oriented skills. They will be trained in high-end technical labs, so that they have relevant skills and emerge job ready.
