NSDC and Hero Vired to collaborate, upskill youth of India

Hero Vired, the Indian edtech company, and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have come together to offer internship opportunities, industry projects and financial support to professionals and higher education aspirants across India.

According to Ved Mani Tiwari, chief operating officer, NSDC, this partnership “will focus on upskilling India’s youth by building their capabilities in new-age skills”. He adds that this is “NSDC’s attempt to enable Indian youth to adapt to the fast-changing economic landscape and become more “competent and future ready.”

This partnership will develop innovative training programmes in emerging and relevant technologies, such as drone deployment and game designing, among others.

As the technology innovation partner, Hero Vired will support NSDC by creating a digital platform to host learner certifications. This alliance will also help drive NSDC’s vision of creating a future-ready workforce through advanced skill-training across sectors. Hero Vired will play a proactive role in NSDC’s mission to transform the skill landscape.

The skill training initiative of NSDC focuses on enhancing skills, matching international standards through active industry engagement, and developing necessary framework for standard, curriculum, and quality assurance.

This partnership will allow institutions and businesses to access the range of courses and learning programmes available through Hero Vired’s integrated platform. All programmes available through this tie-up are in alignment with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and will be co-certified by NSDC.

Akshay Munjal, CEO and founder, Hero Vired shares how the partnership is aimed at, “reimagining education and skilling in the country” with the pedagogy consisting of “instructor-led and hands-on learning”.

Hero Vired will offer select programmes wherein it “will be closely involved in the academic side of the business, i.e., creating academic content and delivering it in line with industry requirements – all of which will be aided by the NSDC partnership”.

Munjal further adds, “We already offer programmes in several niche technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, fintech, and game designing, and more, and this collaboration will improve employability of the youth and open up multifarious avenues for their professional development.”

These programmes will focus on holistic end-to-end learning and equip learners with comprehensive understanding of not only tools and technologies across relevant fields, but the business aspect and soft skills required for problem-solving.

While students enrolled in part-time programs at Hero Vired will get a chance to work on industry projects, full-time students will be given internship opportunities to work with organisations.

Hero Vired will provide a loan guarantee for the duration of the programme (6-11 months) to the first 300 learners during the financial year 2021-22. NSDC will also be a hiring partner, thus, it will have special access to faculty inputs on learners based on their hiring needs. This will enable NSDC to access the top talent under the Hero Vired programmes.

That is not all. Hero Vired will create customised learning solutions, ensuring seamless learner and partner onboarding process, offering end-to-end programme delivery.
