Hiring will be in areas relating to technologies like Java and C++ across development and quality assurance, for mid-level to senior roles.

PTC, a computer software and services company, is planning to expand its India headcount by 200 in the coming two quarters.

The company, with its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, is looking to add 200 jobs in the Q3 – Q4 of FY16 in India. According to the vice president-human resources, Kamal Vatnani, “The expansion in India is a part of the global expansion strategy by the management, and we believe that India has a rich pool of talent,” he says.

The major chunk of the hiring will be in areas relating to technologies like Java and C++ — an amalgam of development and quality assurance for mid-level to senior roles. Vatnani also shared that the company is planning to visit four to five IIT institutes across the country to include some premium hires for PTC.

The workforce expansion would predominantly be for the base location, that is, Pune, which is the company’s second largest research and development centre in the world. PTC is also looking to tap talent from Tier 2 cities.

For the organisation that works with more than 28,000 businesses around the world to help them create, operate, and service products in a rapidly-evolving economy, Vatnani says, “These are challenging and exciting times for PTC, especially for PTC India.”

PTC works with globally distributed manufacturing industries, dealing in industrial equipment, automotive, hi-tech and electronics, aerospace and defence, retail, consumer, and medical devices.
