With the inauguration of its first studio in Bengaluru, yet another US-based company reveals its plans to recruit 500 software engineers.
While the entire IT industry in India is on a hiring freeze, with layoffs becoming the norm, IT companies from the US are taking advantage of the opportunity to grab talent. Softvision, a US- based firm, just inaugurated its first studio in Bengaluru, and on the occasion revealed its plans to hire 500 software engineers.
The global developer and digital products provider will recruit for niche skills, such as mobility, iOS, Java Scala and Android over the next 12 months, adding to its existing workforce comprising 2,400 product, design and engineering professionals across the globe.
Softvision has a network of 17 studios across eight countries and five continents, with Bangalore being an addition to it. It also already has a facility in Mysore, where it employs 800 software developers and testers.
Speaking on the occasion, Andres Angelani, CEO, Softvision mentioned that in the digital age, technology helps foster connections that improve the way products and services are delivered, and further evolve to meet all needs. “This facility will house young minds that would help evolve the foundations on which the new digital journeys are created and run,” he added.
The company started its journey in 1994. Its studio network combines the skill, scale, and cost for each stage of the product development lifecycle.
The company shared its plans to set up more such facilities across states in India, in its endeavour to reach out to its clients faster and better.
