The company plans to hire around 3,200 associates from the country in the current year.

Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, the technology and services company with its headquarters in Germany, is looking to expand its India operations. In line with that, it is reportedly planning to hire around 3,200 associates from the country in the current year.

A senior executive of the company shared with the media that the hiring will be in areas, such as competency, data analytics and artificial intelligence.

The company will be hiring people from two places, Bangalore and Coimbatore, where the company has its R&D centres. The executive shared that the company will be hiring 1,920 people from Bangalore, and the remaining recruitment will be done at Coimbatore.

As per the company website, Bosch in India has the largest development centre outside of Germany, for end to end engineering and technology solutions. The Group in India employs over 30,000 associates, of which close to 14,000 work on areas relating to research and development. In 2015, the Group in India filed for over 200 patents.

Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions is the R&D arm of the Bosch group. The company has already hired 10,000 people during the past six years in the country.

Sensing a high growth potential in India, aided by government’s reforms and the ‘Make in India’ policy, the company will be investing around 100 million Euros or around 764 crore rupees to further expand its business here. India is the fastest growing market in the company’s Asia-Pacific portfolio, which accounts for close to 27 per cent of its global revenue share.
