Adani Electricity, the power distribution utility company has elevated Sanjeev Muramkar to the position of chief human resource officer (CHRO).
Muramkar, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from where he completed a PhD in human resources, in 2005, began his professional journey with Workchardt. He served as assistant manager-human resources at the pharmaceutical firm for two years, from 2004 to 2006. Among his responsibilities, he executed programmes for leadership development (functional and behavioral) and designing various other programmes based on PMS and strategic inputs. He also designed the learning and development initiatives for the sales team. He was an active part of the SAP (Hr module) implementation team and also successfully implemented the 360 degree feedback programme.
November of 2006 saw him take up the role of senior manager-human resources, at Trent (a Tata enterprise). He spent the next five years at Trent, looking into talent management, internal customer satisfaction survey scores, employee communication and budgets and recruitment among other aspects.
His next stop was Sesa Goa Iron Ore, a Vedanta group company where he spent over two years as head-organisation development, based out of Panaji, Goa. During his tenure there, he successfully implemented change initiatives.
It was in January 2014 that he joined Adani Group, as head-learning and development. This role took him to Ahmedabad where he stayed put for the next five years and four months.
In 2019, he relocated to Mumbai, when he joined Adani Electricity as head-talent management, learning and talent acquisition. Five years into this role, he has now been elevated to CHRO.
Sanjeev Muramkar, who holds an MBA from Shivaji University, has held several workshops on behavioral Interviewing skills and interacted with the youth across campuses as part of his talent acquisition role.
