Arun Mathews has taken charge as the head-HR, Max Fashion India, Landmark Group. He will walk in the shoes of Alex Mathew, who previously served as the head-HR for 12 years. Alex Mathew has now moved to KPN Farm Fresh as its chief human resources officer (CHRO).
In the new role, Arun Mathew will be responsible for envisioning and driving HR strategies for MAX India, -providing functional leadership for all HR domains, including leadership development, succession planning, HR operations, learning and development, talent engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance and rewards management, HR analytics, process transformations, and ensuring people happiness.
Mathews’ association with Max Fashion goes back to 2017 when he joined the company as its regional head-HR, for Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu regions. In the year 2020, he was promoted to head- retail HR at Max Fashion.
Prior to this, Mathews was associated with Future Retail as its area head-HR, for Kerala and Tamil Nadu regions. He joined the company in the year 2007 as a management trainee directly from campus. In his capacity, he undertook diverse HR roles across various regions and in different capacities. Furthermore, he had the privilege of participating in the LEAP programme, the leadership-development programme of the Future Group. He served the company for a good ten years before moving to Max Fashion.
With over 17 years of experience, Mathews is adept at defining people strategies and providing functional leadership across all HR domains. His expertise includes leadership development, succession planning, HR operations, learning and development, talent engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance and rewards management, HR analytics, process transformations and fostering employee well-being.
He holds a management degree from the Rajagiri School of Management, Kerala.
