Coforge has appointed Ankur Berry as the new global head-HR of Cigniti Technologies, a firm it acquired. In his new role, Berry will oversee the integration of people across the delivery and practice teams of the combined business unit.
Leveraging over two decades of experience in global leadership and HR management, Berry will manage the company’s entire HR portfolio and associated functions.
His association with Coforge goes back to 2020, when he joined the company as its VP & global head-HR. In this capacity, he led the HR and transformation efforts for an 8000-strong workforce across India, the Philippines, the US, and other regions. Furthermore, he spearheaded organisational and HR transformation projects during his stint with Coforge, ensuring seamless integration and implementing effective change- management strategies.
Prior to this, Berry served Digiphoto Entertainment Imaging as its VP and global head-people & culture. His responsibilities included end to end leadership and transformation of the HR function globally. He was also accountable for driving a people-centric, humane and best-in-class global culture, to optimise employee productivity and aid the rapid expansion of the firm, globally. He joined the company in the year 2022.
His expertise lies in transforming organisations sustainably and at scale, enhancing functional maturity, maximising operational efficiency, optimising costs, nurturing and mentoring talent for growth and innovation, balancing strategy and execution, communicating effectively, and fostering seamless collaboration. In his professional journey, he has worked with many big names such as Fujitsu Consulting India, Allstate, Polaris Consulting & Services, IBM, WNS Global Services, Mphasis and BPL Mobile.
Berry holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, from Fergusson College, Pune and a master’s degree in defence and strategic studies. He also holds certificate course in HR management and analytics from IIM Kohzikode and a general management diploma from IIM Bangalore.
