After a successful five-year long tenure at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Lori Petersen has joined Cipla has vice president-human resources.
Having begun her professional journey in 2001, with MRINetwork, as research manager, Petersen comes with over two decades of experience.
She served as talent acquisition specialist at CHEP from 2006 to 2008 before moving on to Rolls-Royce in June of 2008. She joined as North American early career recruitment manager, based out of Indianopolis. Less than two years into this role, she was elevated to EMEA and North American early career recruitment manager (expat). This promotion took her to Derby, UK. By the time she moved on from Rolls-Royce in 2011, she had become global executive recruiting manager (expat).
Petersen’s next stop was Praxair Inc. She started off as global director, talent acquisition in May 2011. Three years later, she was elevated to human resources business partner, which saw her relocating from Connecticut to Texas. From 2016 to 2019, she served as HR director-Americas. After eight years at Praxair, she moved on to Thermo Fisher Scientific, in 2019.
After serving as senior HR director, laboratory equipment, for three years, she was promoted to vice president-HR, laboratory chemicals, Thermo Fisher Scientific.
With a degree in management information systems from Central College, Petersen has rich experience in global human resources management and strategic human resources planning. Talent acquisition, applicant tracking systems, talent management, recruiting and resourcing are her forte.
