Hero Vired has appointed Prakhar Kasar as its chief executive officer. Kasar has been brought on at a time when the learntech platform, which is a part of the Hero Group, is trying to expand its reach and impact in the online education space.
Backed by over 16 years of experience, Kasar began his professional journey with Pepsico India, as management trainee, in 2008. Within a year, he was promoted to territory development manager. Two and a half years into this role, he was promoted again, to assistant brand manager. By 2014, he had become the brand manager-beverage innovation, based out of Gurgaon.
In 2015, he joined MakeMyTrip as senior manager-marketing. A year and a half later, he was elevated to associate director-marketing. In this role, for the next one year, he successfully led the CRM vertical, a ten-member team, driving business engagement, consumer lifecycle management, and lifetime value through a data-driven marketing strategy. The year 2017 saw him being promoted to the position of director-revenue, hotels. A little over three years later, he was elevated to vice president and business head MyBiz:Make My Trip for Work.
Kasar, who graduated in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Looking ahead, we see significant opportunities in the B2B and B2I markets, as well as potential to reach new consumer segments.”
He understands that the platform is all “about democratising education” and assures that Hero Vired remains “committed to providing quality learning opportunities that are accessible and relevant to the Indian context. In a world increasingly shaped by AI and facing a challenging job market, our role in upskilling and reskilling professionals is more crucial now than ever.”
Kasar plans to leverage Hero Vired’s strengths in pedagogy and teaching methodologies, combined with the latest tech advancements, to drive the company’s growth.
