Saudi Arabia has officially launched a unified employment portal to offer job opportunities across both government and public sectors. The platform, called ‘Jadarat’, is part of the Kingdom’s broader strategy to reduce unemployment among its citizens, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030.
The initiative emphasises the importance of streamlining the job search process and enhancing the match between labour market supply and demand. It consolidates data from previous employment systems, such as Taqat and Jadarah, which catered to employment support and online recruitment, respectively. By integrating these systems, Jadarat provides a more comprehensive resource for job seekers.
Furthermore, Jadarat is expected to play a pivotal role in empowering the national workforce, with more than 70,000 job opportunities currently available across various sectors. The platform offers customised job search options, enabling users to filter opportunities by region, career path, and skill set, thereby making the job search process more efficient.
The launch of Jadarat follows a recent report, indicating that the unemployment rate among Saudi nationals had declined to 7.6 per cent in the first quarter of the year, down by 0.2 percentage points from the previous quarter and 1.1 points year-on-year. This decline is seen as a positive step towards achieving the Kingdom’s employment objectives.
With the full-scale launch of Jadarat, Saudi Arabia aims to further strengthen its workforce, providing citizens with greater access to employment opportunities and supporting the country’s economic growth ambitions.
