Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has unveiled new uniforms for its ground-services team, reflecting a unified and contemporary identity. The refreshed look, designed by renowned fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh, focuses on comfort, function, and sustainability. The rollout will soon extend to teams across engineering, cargo, security, and airport services.

The airline’s latest initiative strengthens its reputation as a people-first brand. Every element of the new uniform — from fabric choice to fit — has been thoughtfully created to meet the functional needs of its employees while maintaining a stylish and cohesive appearance. The redesign incorporates feedback from team members, highlighting Akasa Air’s commitment to listening to its people and valuing their comfort.

Belson Coutinho, co-founder and chief operating officer, Akasa Air, said the new design reflects the company’s dedication to creating a cohesive and inclusive identity across all frontline departments. “When our people feel valued and empowered, it shows in the experience we deliver to our passengers,” he said.

The updated uniforms feature improved fabric for better comfort and mobility, ensuring employees can perform their duties with ease throughout the day. Sustainability remains a core focus, with trousers made from recycled materials, balancing environmental responsibility with practicality and style.

Adopting a vibrant purple hue, the new look ensures visual consistency across departments while fostering a sense of community and pride. The gender-neutral design continues Akasa Air’s commitment to inclusivity and modern workplace values, allowing every employee to feel confident and represented.

Since its inception in 2022, Akasa Air has been redefining employee and passenger experience through innovation, inclusivity, and empathy — proving that when employees feel good, customers fly better.
