Amazon India is partnering with the Ministry of Labour and Employment to facilitate posting of job openings on the Ministry’s National Career Service (NCS) portal. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by the company with the Ministry, which will allow the company as well as its staffing agencies to source candidates from the NCS portal.
Job seekers from across the country will be able to view vacancies, while Amazon India and its staffing agencies will be able to announce their vacancies and even select suitable candidates from NCS.
With this MoU, Amazon has become the first e-commerce platform to partner with the Labour Ministry for the NCS portal. Job seekers who are on the portal will now be able to apply to suitable job roles that are available in the corporate offices of the company as well as elsewhere in Amazon’s network that match their skills and abilities.
The Ministry’s NCS portal had been launched to serve as a one-stop portal to connect employers with job seekers and offer a source of livelihood to the youth of the country.
Recently, Amazon India announced the creation of over 1.1 lakh seasonal jobs across the country in preparation for the upcoming festival season. The move is aimed at boosting employment while maintaining high service standards during the festive season.
