    HCL technologies hired over 5,000 new employees in Q3FY23

    During Q3FY23, which ended on December 30, 2022, HCL Technologies hired 5,892 new employees, bringing their total employee count to 222,270. Out of these employees, 207,920 were in technical roles and 14,350 were in sales and support roles.

    HCL Technologies employee count increased by 2,945 from 219,325 in Q2FY23. The company’s attrition rate (LTM) for the quarter was 21.7 per cent, which was lower compared to the September quarter of the fiscal year where it was at 23.8 per cent. Additionally, 29.2 per cent of HCL Tech’s global workforce is made up of women.

    In the September quarter, the IT company hired 8,359 employees and brought on 10,339 new graduates.

    According to HCL Tech Chairperson, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, the company is dedicated to combining technology and its people to support clients in their digital transformation journeys. They also continue to execute their strategy by adhering to the highest standards of governance and transparency.

    For the December quarter (Q3FY23), HCL Technologies (HCL Tech) saw a 19% increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching ?4,096 crore as compared to the same quarter of the previous year (Q3FY22) when it was ?3,442 crore. The company also experienced a 19.5% growth in revenue from operations, reaching ?26,700 crore compared to ?22,331 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
