Birla Precision Technologies has appointed Shelendra Singh as its new chief human resources officer. His mandate will span talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, and digital HR integration, with a strong emphasis on preparing teams for a technology-led production landscape.

A key part of his role will involve building long-term succession strength and enhancing workforce agility as the company scales across product categories and manufacturing geographies. Singh is also expected to work closely with senior leadership to anchor a people-first agenda that supports business expansion and future capability needs.

The move comes at a time when the engineering and tooling industry is shifting rapidly due to automation, technology-driven processes, and evolving global supply-chain expectations. Singh’s entry is being viewed as part of a broader leadership recalibration designed to prepare the workforce for future-ready manufacturing.

With more than 25 years of cross-sector experience, Singh has built a reputation for shaping culture, driving people transformation, and creating disciplined HR systems across manufacturing, services and diversified enterprises. His expertise lies in developing talent pipelines, redesigning performance and capability frameworks, and leading large-scale organisational- development programmes—expertise that aligns closely with Birla Precision’s current priorities.

Prior to this, Singh was associated with Nuvoco Vistas as its general manager-HR. Singh has also worked with several other companies such as Lafarge India, Aditya Birla Group and Hindalco.

An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Agra College.

His appointment signals Birla Precision’s intent to elevate HR as a central lever in its next phase of growth, positioning the organisation to adapt quickly in a competitive and rapidly- modernising industrial ecosystem.
