Mashreq, a global financial institution, has appointed Tushar Vikram as its new country head and CEO for India, starting June 2024. In his new role, Vikram will spearhead the Bank’s operations in India, driving its strategic direction and growth in the country.
Prior to this, Vikram was associated with HDFC Bank as its group head-investment banking, since July 2023. In this capacity, Vikram led the project finance, equity, debt capital markets and M&A.
Vikram is a seasoned business banker with a career spanning three decades. With a robust background in investment banking, corporate finance and strategic financial management, he brings a wealth of expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes and driving sustainable growth strategies.
Prior to HDFC, Vikram spent 27 years with Citibank in various roles, covering commercial bank, investment and structured finance, digitisation, credit processes and risk management.

Vikram holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and is a qualified chartered accountant.
